Spanish-made Toledo Damascene knight’s helmet bracelet

The body of the bracelet is made from brass decorated with gold-inlay craftsmanship. At the centre of the oval panels are knight’s helmets set against a black background, surrounded by scrolling botanical motifs. These panels are framed with detailed meander (Greek key) patterns. The remaining sections of the bracelet feature large rectangular-cut dark stones, set in claw/prong settings that balance the shine of the metal. The jewellery is inspired by heraldic and Renaissance Revival styles and was often worn as a symbol of nobility and power in earlier periods
